Alta Via Europa

Cycling the Alto Piave, that is the long stretch of the river that flows in the Belluno area, from the sources of Monte Peralba (Sappada) to Longarone, is the dream of many travelers and the purpose of this second book. The middle stretch, from Longarone to Vas, is described in the previous book published in 2017 again for ViviDolomiti Edizioni. The common thread is the river with its tributaries: the Ansiei, the Boite and the Maè, from whose valleys the Dolomites of Auronzo, Cortina and Zoldo rise up, a UNESCO heritage site. These proposals can be understood as single routes, to be chosen for a day of MTB or E-MTB, or in chains creating a long adventurous “Altaciclovia del Piave”. Then following the first volume, you can continue up to Vas to go back, skirting the Grappa, the lakes of Arsiè and Senaiga, the Vette Feltrine and the park of the Belluno Dolomites in a long exciting journey through abandoned villages, royal roads, paths of ancient hunters and famous refuges, between places of pilgrimage and breathtaking views.
