Tour du Mont Rose – 5

The Tour du Mont Rose is a circular trek in 10 stages around the massifs of Monte Rosa and Mischabel, in the Pennine Alps. It crosses three sides, Valais, Valtournenche and Valsesia, partly following the paths traveled by the Walser populations in their movements between one valley and another. Usually the trek starts from Zermatt (in the Valais) and goes counterclockwise, but it can also start from Saas Fee, on the Swiss side, from Staffal in the Aosta Valley, or from Macugnaga in Piedmont. The guide contains photographs and technical data of the 10 stages of the Tour with the contact details of all the accommodation facilities, together with a 1:50.000 scale map with a kilometric grid printed on an ecological, waterproof and resistant support.
