Val di Fassa is a Dolomite valley in Trentino that certainly needs no introduction: the upper course of the Avisio torrent is, in fact, well known and praised, because it is enclosed between famous and imposing mountains. First of all the Marmolada, the queen of the Dolomites, followed by superb groups such as the Sella, the Sassolungo and the Sassopiatto, the Catinaccio, the Latemar, the Monzoni and the Costabella. With an orographic base of this type, the excursion offer could only be rich and varied. Metal equipment, well maintained but never intrusive, have transformed the paths into the strong point of the valley, allowing even the less experienced to make adventurous but safe access routes to magnificent and solitary mountain areas.
