L’acquedotto invisibile
Da Monte Pacciano alla Fonte di Piazza
The history of the medieval aqueduct of Perugia has always been in the hearts of the people of the area where the remains of that grandiose and daring work of hydraulic engineering loom.
People have always wondered who those daring technicians were who made their knowledge available to bring water to the fountain of Piazza under construction.
Reading ancient texts one realizes that it was a work without equal in Italy but perhaps also in Europe, hence the curiosity to deepen the knowledge of the waterways until Cesap decided to publish the volume by Antonio de Felice “The ancient aqueduct of the Fountain of Piazza of Perugia”, the publication of that text is the only document in the modern age that contains, in an exhaustive manner, all the information both historical and construction from 1254 to 1932.
Today this new publication with contributions by Katia Smaldone, Cinzia Cicognola, Olindo Stefanucci, Franco Mezzanotte, Aldo Frittelli.
