The Italian stretch of an ancient path that from Constance crosses the Swiss Alps at the Lucomagno pass and continues up to Pavia. Eight stages on foot, by bike or special bike that lead us to splendid places, rich in art and history, from the top of the Sacro Monte di Varese, to the Morimondo abbey and the basilica of San Pietro in Ciel d’Oro. A succession of rivers and bodies of water, from the land of the seven lakes to the Milanese canals and the Ticino, to cross all of Lombardy and reach the Via Francigena. A route suitable for everyone, with detailed cartography, altimetry, places to visit and where to sleep and all the useful information to get on the road. In addition, two appendices dedicated to the stages in Germany and Switzerland and to the Lombard section of the Via Francigena.
