Alta Via 2 delle Dolomiti
da Bressanone a Feltre
It is one of the longest of the 10 high routes that cross the entire Dolomite territory from north to south and certainly one of the most beautiful. It crosses the magnificent Odle, the solitary Puez plateau, the vast, elevated Sella group, then bypassing the perennial glaciers of the Marmolada, the queen of the Dolomites. It takes two days to climb over the extraordinary Pale di San Martino, reddish at dawn and at sunset and finally cover the rugged ridge of the Vette Feltrine, which is a prelude to the arrival at the northern limit of the Venetian plain. Paolo Cervigni has described all the paths of the Alta Via from Bressanone to Feltre divided into 15 stages of the basic path, 170 kilometers long, 8 variants, in order to allow each hiker to choose the path that best suits his needs and the weather at disposition.
