Parco naturale Mont Avic e dintorni
The Mont Avic Natural Park is located between the Champorcher valley and the Chalamy valley, the first valleys of the orographic right side at the entrance to the Aosta Valley. It acts as a hinge between the Lower Valley, the cradle of the glorious Alpine civilization and the unspoiled nature of the “high lands”, stretching up to the border with the Gran Paradiso National Park. The enchanting basins of Miserin and Gran Lago, by extension the second largest natural basin in the region, the hills of Medzove, Fénis and Pontonnet, communicating with the Clavalité valley and the Cogne valley, the ancient “stone roads” to Barmelle and Borney and the pristine nature of the Savoney valley are just some of the countless scenic attractions. 36 excursions, 8 ascents to the most representative peaks and 1 multi-stage trek in the cathedral of nature in the Aosta Valley.
