Tra il Classico e il Moderno
Arrampicate scelte nelle Valli di Lanzo
The Valli di Lanzo have always been considered the homeland of Turin mountaineering. Among these mountains, legendary guides accompanied, in their ascents, a good portion of the aristocracy and the subalpine upper middle class, as well as on some of these rocks, some daredevils gave way to “mountaineering without a guide”. Whole generations of climbers have passed through these valleys, famous names and perfect strangers, from the heroic era to the years of protest. After a period of oblivion and history lived in the shadow of more famous places, the Valli di Lanzo intend to regain their primacy and their tradition, applying as one of the major areas of the Western Alps for the practice of climbing in all its forms. forms. Here, therefore, that for the first time a work brings together fifty years of experience on these walls, also enclosing very important historical documents and unpublished photographs. A book not to be missed for all climbing enthusiasts, whether practiced at a sporting level or on multi-pitch, ambient or modern routes. Last but not least, a meticulous cataloging of the bouldering sites in the valleys, with sketches, maps and climbing advice.
