The Val di Fassa is a valley in the Trentino Dolomites that certainly needs no introduction: indeed, the upper course of the Avisio river is very well known and loved for its famous and imposing mountain neighbours. The largest is the Marmolada, the queen of the Dolomites, followed by towering groups like the Sella, Sassolungo and Sassopiatto, the Catinaccio, Latemar, Monzoni and Costabella. With that kind of orographic base, the range of excursions on offer could only be rich and varied. The installation of well-maintained and functional metal fixtures has transformed the paths into the valley’s strong point, allowing even the less experienced to take adventurous but safe routes to magnificent and solitary mountain areas.
