Assisi and Loreto, at the two extremes of this Way, are among the oldest and most popular pilgrimage destinations in Italy: on one side the city of San Francesco, on the other the town that houses the Holy House of Nazareth. They are joined by a one-week itinerary, which can be traveled in both directions, immersed in the unspoilt nature of the Apennine woods, between the green valleys of Umbria and the Marches and many suggestive locations, such as Spello, Tolentino and Macerata.
