The fundamental desire of this book is to spread a health culture. A culture that is obviously not specialist or professional but which, in a simple and informative way, allows to discover and learn the main methods of treatment and management of small and large health problems. Facing more or less demanding excursions in so-called “impervious” environments, it is impossible not to know the rudiments of first aid, even in the hope of never having to use the concepts and techniques learned. The text would like to illustrate how to help an injured person, in those environments where the help of the professional health team could be delayed in arriving, precisely because of the nature of the territory and because of the distance from urban centers.
